HSF BELIEFS
Home Fellowship System (HFS) Common Belief System
Preface
This document alongside HFS tenets presents the core beliefs of the Home Fellowship System (HFS), a Spirit-led framework developed to restore unity, sound doctrine, and spiritual maturity in the Body of Christ. It addresses longstanding doctrinal and leadership challenges within modern churches and offers a return to biblical foundations. This belief system is published for educational, missional, and discipleship purposes and may be used to guide teaching, fellowship, and ministry governance across HFS fellowships.
Introduction: Foundational Vision - IMMORTALITY
The Home Fellowship System (HFS) affirms that the Christian faith must be rooted in the clear teachings of Scripture that shows Jesus Christ has brought light and immortality to light by the gospel and this is the vision of God for community churches and the world. In contrast to some traditions observed within mainstream churches of common origin, some have personal vision of their own church. In many cases individual ministry vision divides the body of Christ. HFS emphasises a return to biblical foundations that align with the elementary principles outlined in Hebrews 6:1-2, namely:
“Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.”
— Hebrews 6:1–2
These six foundational doctrines are the spiritual blueprint upon which all teachings and practices within HFS are based. We believe these pillars distinguish authentic Christian doctrine and serve as a framework for unity in the body of Christ and empowering vision.
---
1. One Lord, One Vision, One Kingdom, One Mission
The central conviction of the Home Fellowship System (HFS) is unity under one Lord — Jesus Christ — who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). This unity extends to a shared:
- Vision: IMMORTALITY. This aims to mature believers through sound doctrine and Spirit-led fellowship.
- Kingdom: To express and extend the reign of Christ through His wisdom, righteousness, Justification (justice) and redemption by the knowledge of the Truth.
- Mission: To disciple nations by advancing a biblically-rooted, Spirit-empowered church.
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope... one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all.”
— Ephesians 4:4–6
The purposes of God are contained within this divine framework: One Lord, who has one vision for all His people, expressed through one kingdom of Heaven that must operate as a single, unified entity.
HFS beliefs are therefore geared toward creating sufficient awareness and spiritual preparedness for the Bride of Christ in the present church age, while also pointing toward the coming kingdom age. This future age has begun and this will be marked by the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19) — mature Apostolic prophets, priests, and kings — who will reign with Christ in righteousness and truth.
This unified understanding of Christ’s identity, purpose, values, and timing is essential for building a people ready for both present-day spiritual effectiveness and future kingdom governance.
“...that He might present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.”
— Ephesians 5:27

2. Response to Doctrinal Challenges in Community Churches
The HFS belief system exists to respond to 50 major challenges facing many independent and Pentecostal-origin churches today, such as:
- Doctrinal division over salvation, spiritual gifts, and the role of grace.
- Illegitimate autonomy of ministries without spiritual accountability.
- Distorted leadership models that elevate a single ministry gift (pastors) as sole authority, contrary to the New Testament model.
“Now I beseech you, brethren... mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”
— Romans 16:17
HFS proposes biblical solutions by restoring the original five-fold ministry (see Ephesians 4:11–13) and a single prophetic leadership by collaborative structure where apostles, prophets, evangelists, Shepherds, and teachers work interdependently, not in isolation.
3. The Role of Scripture and Spiritual Discernment
Our beliefs are informed primarily by Scripture and are further clarified through Spirit-led discernment and community understanding. HFS encourages believers to:
- Test all spirits (1 John 4:1)
- Prove all things and hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
- Avoid private interpretations (2 Peter 1:20–21)
This framework leads to a tested understanding of prophetic direction and guards the fellowship from error and false doctrine.
4. Clarifying Key Doctrinal Positions
a) The Hope of spiritual resurrection including the ultimate resurrection vs. Rapture Doctrine
HFS teaches the blessed hope of the third appearance of Christ’s return through the manifestation of the sons of God not escapism through speculative rapture theories. We emphasise preparedness through structural documentation of the gospel work as a continuation of the new testament for an enduring faith.
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”
— Titus 2:13
b) Tithing and New Covenant Giving
We affirm that tithing as an Old Testament legal requirement is fulfilled in Christ. Under the New Covenant, believers give freely, generously, and sacrificially according to conviction.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7
c) Church Leadership and Accountability
The HFS rejects the over-centralisation of power in a single ministry gift. Instead, we advocate for a single prophetic leadership by collaboration under Christ, where apostles and prophets provide spiritual direction and work collaboratively with other ministry gifts.
“And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers...”
— 1 Corinthians 12:28
5. Building a Common Belief System
HFS promotes biblical harmony in understanding Christian beliefs that Christian beliefs cannot be divided among different believers and churches but instead, encouraging alignment through:
- Sound doctrine that leads to maturity (Titus 2:1)
- Christ-centered fellowship (Acts 2:42)
- A unified testimony of the LORDship of Christ (1 Corinthians 1:10)
This system exists not to divide, but to unify believers under scripturally tested principles that align with the mind and mission of Christ.
---conclusion: The Call to Unity and Spiritual Maturity
HFS calls the church back to biblical order or the divine order of spiritual accountability, and doctrinal clarity. We contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3) and labor for a church that reflects Christ's heart, values, and leadership.
The Home Fellowship System invites all who seek truth, sound doctrine, and Spirit-led living to embrace this common belief system, built on Christ the foundation and aimed at restoring unity in the Body.
